These have been planned before we know what restrictions will be in place after December 3rd, so we really don’t know how, when or what might go ahead. To ensure social distancing and control numbers booking might be necessary for some events.
So please check this website and the Church News for details nearer the event.
St Mary’s are holding a ‘Tin and Cracker’ service this year on the 6th December at 10am instead of the usual ‘Toy and Tin’ Service. The Tins and Crackers will be used for the village/school hampers and the balance will go to the Community Pantry.
This will be St.Mary’s first live service after Lockdown. If you don’t wish to attend the service, why not bring up gifts for the hampers and just leave them in the church that morning? Instead of Toys for Derby City Mission (DCM) we are asking people to send a financial gift so that DCM can purchase the toys for those in need and food for the parcels they will hand out.

This will also mean that we are being careful in our contact with other people and not passing on covid19. (Hands, Face, Space)
Sunday December 12th 10am Communion
Sunday December 19th 6.30 Carol Service – this is highly provisional.
We are assuming singing will not be allowed and numbers will be limited to less than 40, so it will be very different from normal and booking of places will be essential – watch this space!!
Week before Christmas - Christmas Journey – this will be a series of ’stations’ around the village telling the Christmas Story, designed for your family groups or bubbles.
Christmas Day – 10am Short service in church
Sunday December 27th 10am Morning Service
Look out for Christmas Lights and singing on the doorstep dates organised in the village. A great chance to share the glory of Christmas with your neighbours.
