CHRISTINGLE SERVICE 5th December Our Christingle service will again combine with our toy and tin gift service this year on December 5th at 3.00 pm. There will be a Christingles to make up in the pews for each child and for some adults. You are invited to bring gifts for children and teenagers whose families are struggling this Christmas. They must be new and unwrapped, Derby City Mission do not take used gifts. Or you could bring tins and packets of food. Tins of meat, fish, vegetables, Rice pudding and other puddings; packets of rice, pasta, biscuits and washing liquid tablets, toiletries and nappies are all popular. These gifts could be brought to the morning service for those unable to get to the afternoon. We look forward to welcoming you then.
CAROLS AROUND THE TREE 23rd December 7pm Join the whole village community as we gather round the Christmas Tree in the Market Place to sing carols.
MEMORIAL SERVICE At St Mary’s, before COVID restrictions, we used to hold a memorial service each November for our loved ones. This year we have decided to delay the service a little longer and the memorial service will now be held in church at 3pm on Saturday 15 January 2022.
Please contact me if you have any queries about the service.
If your bereavement will make Christmas difficult for you this year and you would appreciate some private prayer with one of the church leaders then this can certainly be arranged for you.
