Annual Giving


As a church we believe in proportional giving (tithing) and are committed to giving a tenth of what we receive to God’s work elsewhere.

The PCC recently allocated £5,000 as follows:

St Mary's Church believes in tithing all income which is not restricted and does so each October



Charities for which the Vicar is ex officio Trustee

Samuel Newton Trust.  (Gives money to recently bereaved and South Wingfield School every Christmas; receives small income from land rental)

Sims Trust (Gives bibles to children as they leave the local schools aged 11)

The following charities still exist, but their income is minimal and activity rare:
